If you have a moderator account, instructions for setting up two-factor authentication (2FA) are also provided below.

Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for Moderator Accounts

If you have a Dealroom moderator account, setting up two-factor authentication (2FA) is required. Follow the steps below to get started:

Step 1: Set Up 2FA on First Login

The first time you log in after signing up, you’ll be prompted to set up two-factor authentication.

  • You’ll be given two options for 2FA. We recommend using an authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator, Authy), which you can download from the App Store or Google Play.
  • Important: Save the recovery code provided during setup. This code allows you to regain access if you lose your 2FA credentials.

Step 2: Log in Using a One-Time Code

Once 2FA is set up, you’ll use the authenticator app to retrieve a one-time code each time you log in.

Tip: When logging in, select “Remember this device for 30 days” so you only need to enter the code once per month.

Step 3: Logging in After 30 Days

If you’re logging in after 30 days or from a new device, simply open your authenticator app and enter the latest one-time code to access your account again.
